BEBIDAS FORTES is a company that manufactures and sells still cachaça, which is the typical Brazilian distillate, produced from sugar cane. Our factory is located in the city of Vargem Grande in the state of Maranhão in the northeast region of Brazil. Our brand is the Cachaça Capotira. Environmental sustainability is a basic premise of the Capotira brand. Sugarcane is cultivated using the most advanced production techniques, using sugarcane bagasse and vinasse generated at the factory as a source of nutrients for the sugarcane field. Harvesting is done manually without the use of fire, with the straw being preserved to protect the soil. The energy source used at the factory is solar, and in the still the sugarcane bagasse is burned to generate heat in the furnace. In addition, a large area of native forest is preserved on the farm.
