Hailing from the exceptionally biodiverse waters of Peru, Sardea Chilean is one of the most abundant bonito species in the eastern Pacific. Its prolific numbers are supported by the nutrient-rich Humboldt Current system that flows along the South American west coast.

Thanks to large-scale pole-and-line fishing efforts, Peruvian fishermen are able to reliably supply commercial quantities of Sardea Chilean while maintaining the sustainability of the stock. After capture, the fish are immediately chilled and processed to stringent food safety standards.
