Description
Mineral insulated resistance thermometer are compressed copper wires enclosed in magnesium oxide and a stainless steel sheath. They are sealed vapor-tight and can withstand high pressures and temperatures up to 600 °C without any problems.

Thanks to their robust design, the sensors are vibration-resistant and durable. Another major benefit: The sheathed measuring cable can be bent and thus individually adapted to the application and design.
More space is required, especially for sensors with threads, so-called screw-in sensors. In contrast to sheathed thermocouples, the protective sleeve of sheathed resistance thermometers can be bent and therefore offers the appropriate flexibility.
