Tetramethyl alcoholamine (TMAH) is mainly used as developer in photographic printing. 8、 Polycarbonate (PC)
In the non-phosgene process, dimethyl carbonate is transesterified with phenol to generate diphenyl carbonate, and then diphenyl carbonate reacts with bisphenol A in a molten state to polycondensate to generate polycarbonate. The environmentally friendly dimethyl carbonate is used instead of phosgene to produce diphenyl carbonate, and then diphenyl carbonate is transesterified with bisphenol A to produce polycarbonate. This non-phosgene melting process has no by-products, and avoids the use of highly toxic chemical phosgene in the production process, which can truly reduce pollution from the source and achieve clean production of polycarbonate.
