SLC Agricola is a major producer of soybeans in Brazil, with the intention of planting 117.400 hectares in the 2011/12 harvest. The company cultivated soybean in major agricultural regions of Brazil and its production is sold to domestic and export markets.<br><br>Soybean is the main source of vegetable protein used in human and animal food, and is widely used as raw material for the production of oils and biofuels.<br><br>SLC Agricola is part of the Executive Committee of the Roundtable on Responsible Soy (RTRS - Round Table on Responsible Soy Association), pledging to make the value chain more responsible soy and implement and monitor the global system that promotes the production, processing, distribution and consumption of soy responsible.
