Whether steel, aluminium, copper or other non-ferrous metals: the ‘Kplus’ sensors have the same switching distance for all metals, i.e. the correction factor is a constant 1.
The increased switching distance is guaranteed over the entire temperature range and therefore offers greater protection against failures caused by mechanical damage. Compared to standard sensors of this design, the switching frequency of 2000 Hz also corresponds to an above-average value.
The ifm sensors are designed for many years of use. This is also reflected in the details. For example, the device can still be reliably identified years later thanks to the permanently legible laser type plate.
