These device series have been specially developed for metalworking applications.
In machine tools, oils and cooling lubricants are very hard on the installed machine components. Standard sensors are not sufficient in many applications. The C series has been specially designed for this branch of industry. The sealing concept of the sensors, combined with the appropriate ecolink plug connection, offers maximum protection against malfunctions.
In the one-piece housing of the all-metal sensors, both the threaded tube and the end face are made of stainless steel (V4A). This hard-wearing material is corrosion-resistant and allows the sensors to be used in extreme applications.
Sensors with increased switching distance, correction factor K = 1 (same switching distance for all metals) or K = 0 (only detects ferrous metals) are ideal for applications in metal processing. Sensors with K = 0 suppress aluminium chips. This is particularly advantageous when motor parts are machined from aluminium and chips must not affect the sensors.
