Bakara is a brand of Haitian rum, produced in Noailles, about 19 kilometers from Port-au-Prince. Here, experienced workers cultivate the sugar cane plantations and produce the sweet, aromatic cane juice that Bakara Rhum depends on. Like Barbancourt Rhum, Bakara avoids the use of molasses due to its inferior taste and flavor. Sugarcane continues to be the main ingredient in the process of creating cachaça.
