H13 is a type of air-hardening tool steel, suitable for various high-temperature working environments. This steel contains relatively high chromium content, which gives it excellent resistance to thermal fatigue and thermal stability under high temperature conditions.

H13 tool steel exhibits a balance of high toughness, wear resistance, and hot workability, making it suitable for long-term use in applications involving repeated heating and cooling. Tools made from H13 can undergo water cooling without cracking, which helps extend the life of the tool.

After regular heat treatment, H13 is suitable for performing quenching treatment, with a quenching depth of up to approximately 0.30 mm, thereby enhancing surface hardness and tool life.

H13 is widely used for die casting tools, hot forging tools, and other high-temperature forming tools.
