P20 is a type of tool steel, which has good machinability even under hot working conditions (Brinell hardness 300). This material can achieve excellent hardening effects, making it one of the most widely recognized standards for injection molding materials and die casting tools. P20 is suitable for hot working applications and can be directly used for machine processing. Under these conditions, it has exceptional toughness, but if the pressure die casting or similar tools require the highest surface hardness, this material can undergo surface hardening or tempering treatment.
