DIN 1.2738 is specifically designed for plastic injection molds. This material exhibits excellent sharpening and photolithography properties, high purity, and good uniformity. DIN 2738 is an upgraded version of plastic mold steel 2311 and is typically supplied in a pre-hardened state. Its initial hardness is 280-320 HB, and the hardness is uniform. The 1% nickel content is further increased during the hardening process. This steel has good machinability, is suitable for texturing, fine polishing, provides sufficient corrosion resistance, and undergoes vacuum degassing.
