An ozone generator (also known as an ozone generator) is a device that uses electricity to convert oxygen from the air into ozone (O₃). Ozone is a gas with extremely strong oxidizing properties, and ozone machines utilize this property to achieve sterilization, disinfection, deodorization, and purification by releasing ozone.
Working principle
The core technology of the ozone machine is high-voltage discharge (corona discharge method). Inside the equipment, high-frequency high-voltage electric fields ionize oxygen molecules (O₂) in the air, breaking them down into oxygen atoms. These oxygen atoms then combine with undecomposed oxygen molecules to produce ozone (O₃). The generated ozone gas is then released into the air or water, exerting its strong oxidizing effect.
Main features
Sterilization and disinfection: Ozone can quickly destroy the cellular structures of bacteria, viruses, molds, and other microorganisms, rendering them inactive and achieving broad-spectrum, highly effective sterilization.
Deodorization and odor removal: Ozone can oxidize with odor-producing chemicals (such as ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, smoke odor, pet odor, etc.), breaking them down into non-toxic, odorless substances that eliminate odors at their source rather than simply masking them.
Degrading harmful substances: Ozone can oxidize and break down volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as formaldehyde and benzene in the air, as well as toxic substances like pesticide residues and heavy metal ions in water.
Preservation and preservation: In food storage, ozone can kill pathogens that cause spoilage and break down ripening gases released by fruits and vegetables (such as ethylene), thereby extending shelf life.
