With the purchase of Ferriere Piedmontese companies, already Vandel & Co., of Metallurgical Industries Torino and establishments of Ferriera of Buttigliera Alta (Avigliana), in 1917, Fiat will ensure the possibility of iron and steel and metallurgical production.<br />

For sixty years, with ups and downs related to global economic trends, the "Ferriere", as it identifies the steel activities of Fiat, work, produce, they are widening.<br />

Already in 1985 Teksid counts among its customers the North American Chrysler, General Motors and Ford.<br />

At the end of 86, in order to strengthen its presence in North America, it was established for the Teksid Aluminum Foundry, in line with our internationalization strategy.<br />

Today Teksid counts, in the world, seven production facilities: four in Europe, one in South America, one in Central America and one in China, as well as a representation company for North America.<br />

With approximately 7,000 employees, Teksid supplies components for more light and heavy vehicle engine manufacturers.
