Teksid

With the purchase of Ferriere Piedmontese companies, already Vandel & Co., of Metallurgical Industries Torino and establishments of Ferriera of Buttigliera Alta (Avigliana), in 1917, Fiat will ensure the possibility of iron and steel and metallurgical production.



For sixty years, with ups and downs related to global economic trends, the "Ferriere", as it identifies the steel activities of Fiat, work, produce, they are widening.



Already in 1985 Teksid counts among its customers the North American Chrysler, General Motors and Ford.

At the end of 86, in order to strengthen its presence in North America, it was established for the Teksid Aluminum Foundry, in line with our internationalization strategy.



Today Teksid counts, in the world, seven production facilities: four in Europe, one in South America, one in Central America and one in China, as well as a representation company for North America.



With approximately 7,000 employees, Teksid supplies components for more light and heavy vehicle engine manufacturers.
