Magnesium Silicate stands out in this segment due to its production process, which attributed to this product unique physical and chemical characteristics favorable to its use. This material is the result of the process of electro-melting of nickel ore in electric furnaces to submerged arcs, where it is exposed to a temperature of approximately 1700ºC, followed by crystallization through rapid cooling in high pressure running water. Simply put, Magnesium Silicate is a by-product resulting from the Iron-Nickel Reduction process in pyrometallurgy. Once the water is drained, silicate is dried in a rotary dryer and sorted granulometrically.
