MCP YACHTS is a Brazilian company well known for design, construction, maintenance and consultancy related to commercial, military and pleasure crafts in general. The letters MCP stand for "Manoel Chaves Projetos". Naval Architect and Marine Engineer Manoel Chaves was born and raised in Santos/Brazil. He formed MCP 28 years ago after heading a design office at another shipyard for 2 years.
MCP YACHTS headquarters is conveniently located in Santos, the main commercial harbour in South America, just 60km away from São Paulo. The present premises are composed by a set of buildings with office facilities and construction sites. It is well-equipped for fabricating up to three 100 foot aluminium crafts siultaneously, from structural assembling to finishing being the average construction period 18 months, since the first aluminium plate is attached to effective delivery date.
In January 2009, an additional construction site (Plant N. 02) was added to ensure increased construction capability up to 4 times. MCP YACHTS has recently purchased a 150 Ton Travelift for the new area located in the nearby city of Guarujá, a world reknowned summer and holiday vacation desitination in Brazil.
