Located in Guarapuava, in the Midwest of Parana, <b>Santa Maria</b> stands out as a major business group, operating in the areas of paper, wood, forestry and energy.<br><br>The group began operations in 1962 serving the domestic timber market with the name of Santa Maria Wood. In the 70s, as a constant evolution, migrated to the production of paper, in 1974, began operating the first machine to produce paper, and a hydroelectric plant, needed to produce energy to meet the production process.<br><br>At the end of 1982 with the installation of a second machine, there was expansion of piece of paper. Since 1993, there was a diversification of activities, with the production of continuous forms.
